Creator Program Guide
Everything you need to know about earning with Calculus
What is the Creator Program?
The Calculus Creator Program lets content creators, career coaches, and community leaders earn recurring commissions by referring new users to Calculus. When someone signs up through your unique referral link or promo code and makes a purchase, you earn a percentage of their payment — for as long as they remain a paying customer.
- Earn up to 18% recurring commission on every referral.
- 30-day cookie window — your referrals count even if they don't sign up immediately.
- Real-time dashboard to track your earnings, clicks, sign-ups, and conversions.
- Promo code support — your audience can enter a code at signup if they can't click a link.
- Tiers are permanent — once you reach a tier, it never downgrades.
How to Apply
- Create a Calculus account if you don't have one.
- Navigate to the Creator tab from your dashboard.
- Click Apply Now and fill out the application form with your platform, profile URL, follower count, and a brief description of your audience.
- Our team reviews applications within 2-3 business days.
- Once approved, you'll receive your unique referral link, promo code, and access to the creator dashboard.
Open to creators with 1,000+ followers on any platform. We look for engaged audiences in career development, tech, job hunting, or adjacent spaces. All platforms are welcome — YouTube, TikTok, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, blogs, newsletters, podcasts, and more.
How Referral Tracking Works
Understanding the referral flow helps you maximize your conversions:
Link or Code Sharing
Share your unique referral link (calculus.com/r/yourcode) or promo code with your audience through content, social media, or direct messages.
Cookie Stored
When someone clicks your link, a 30-day tracking cookie is stored in their browser. Uses last-click attribution — if another creator's link is clicked later, the most recent click wins.
User Signs Up
The referred user creates a Calculus account. The referral is recorded and linked to your creator account. They can also enter your promo code manually during sign-up.
Conversion
When the referred user makes any purchase — credit packs, monthly subscription, annual plan, or lifetime access — the conversion is confirmed and your commission is calculated.
Commission Earned
Your commission is added to your balance. After the 30-day hold period (to protect against refunds), it becomes available for payout.
Your Creator Dashboard
Once approved, you'll have access to a full dashboard with everything you need to track and grow your earnings:
Stats Overview
At-a-glance metrics: total earnings, total clicks, sign-ups, and conversions. Updated in real time.
Referral Link & Promo Code
Your unique referral URL with a one-click copy button, plus a short promo code your audience can type manually during sign-up.

A live feed of your latest referrals showing signup date, subscription status, and commission earned for each.

A GitHub-style heatmap showing your referral activity over the year. Filter by all events, clicks, or conversions.
Partner Tier
Your current tier and progress toward the next level. See how many more conversions you need to unlock a higher commission rate.
Commission Tiers
Your commission rate increases as you drive more conversions. Tiers are based on your lifetime conversion count and never downgrade — once you reach a tier, it's permanent:
Commissions are recurring — you earn on every billing cycle for as long as the referred user remains subscribed. Each purchase (credit pack, subscription, or plan upgrade) counts as one conversion for tier progression.
Payout Information
- 30-day hold: All commissions are held for 30 days after the customer's purchase. This protects against refunds — if the customer gets a refund, the commission is reversed. After 30 days, earnings move to "available" status.
- Minimum threshold: You need at least $50 in available earnings to request a payout.
- Payment methods: PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp. Set your preferred method in the Payouts section of your dashboard.
- Payout schedule: Payouts are processed weekly on Tuesdays for balances that have cleared the hold period and meet the minimum threshold.
Tips for Success
Creators who succeed typically follow these strategies:
- Include your link everywhere: Video descriptions, pinned comments, bio links — most conversions come from YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Show, don't tell: Create honest review content showing Calculus in action during a real mock interview. Authenticity converts 3x better than scripted ads.
- Use your promo code verbally: In Stories, short-form content, and live streams, people can type a code easier than clicking a link from a video.
- Target high-intent audiences: Job seekers preparing for top-tier tech interviews have the highest willingness to pay.
- Time your content: Post during peak job-hunting seasons — January (New Year resolutions), May (new grads), and September (fall hiring cycles).
- Stay compliant: Always disclose that your link is an affiliate/referral link, as required by FTC guidelines and platform policies.
- Track your sources: Add UTM parameters to your link (e.g.,
?utm_source=youtube) to see which platform drives the most conversions.
Prohibited Practices
The following activities will result in immediate termination from the program and forfeiture of unpaid earnings:
- Self-referrals or creating fake accounts to generate commissions.
- Cookie stuffing or incentivized clicks.
- Misleading or deceptive advertising about Calculus.
- Bidding on Calculus brand terms in paid search advertising.
- Spam or unsolicited messages to promote your referral link.
- Misrepresenting your relationship with Calculus or implying official endorsement.
